At the age of 16, playing guitar in a U2 cover band at an amphitheater in the Swiss alps, Cassell knew music would be his passion and lifelong pursuit. His work as a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer creates a unique hybrid of modern classical, electronic, post-rock, and ambient music throughout his compositions. The deep influence of artists like Sigur Ros, Ludovico Einaudi, and Olafur Arnalds permeates Cassell’s melodic sensibilities.

Cassell’s first EP release The Road to Victory captured the emotion of facing challenges, from optimistic outlook to uncertainty to triumph. From the initial spark of “The Road to Victory” to the euphoric emotion of “The Victor,” the songs lead the listener on a journey overcoming struggle.

Eldorado, the follow up to The Road to Victory, incorporated finger style classical guitar and contemplative solo work into Cassell’s musical style. The creation of memorable melodies and motifs continued to be the focal point of his compositional writing.

In addition to his neoclassical work, Cassell writes music across multiple genres for television, films, and ads from his Minneapolis studio. Whether a bespoke film score or an original composition, each piece of his music invites the listener on a journey through narrative and emotion.
